Champion 201531: Carry-class dual-fuel inverter. Continuous: 3,250 W gas / 2,925 W propane; 4,500 W starting on either fuel. Recoil, CO Shield, 1.54 gal tank, ParaLINK separate.

Westinghouse iGen4500c: Wheeled gasoline-only inverter. OM: 3,700 W running / 4,500 W peak at 120 V. Electric + remote + recoil, CO shutdown, 3.4 gal tank, parallel cord extra. Not the DF/DFc siblings.

What it will actually run

Both — will run (with headroom): Fridge + lights + phones. Modest microwave or a measured small window AC — one hard load at a time. TT-30R loads under each continuous rating (Champion gas 3,250 W; Westinghouse 3,700 W).

Champion edge: Propane when gasoline is scarce; ~52 lb carry without a cart; light-load hold on a 20 lb bottle (mfr: up to 25 h @ 25%).

Westinghouse edge: ~450 W more continuous on gas; e-start / remote; larger onboard tank (mfr: up to 18 h @ 25%).

Skip or measure first (both): Unmeasured well or sump start. Any 240 V interlock / transfer story. Treating 4,500 as continuous. Parallel kits as included. Quiet-camp duty without reading each maker's noise test conditions.

It depends. Take the Champion 201531 when dual-fuel and carry weight matter more than another ~450 W of gasoline continuous, and you accept recoil. Take the Westinghouse iGen4500c when you want ~3,700 W continuous, e-start / remote, and a larger gas tank on wheels — and you do not need propane on this exact SKU. Size either to continuous watts, not the 4,500 marketing band. Neither replaces a 240 V standby or a measured well solution.
