Honda if the kit is a fridge and you care about neighbors. Champion if you want propane and a shot at a small window AC. Neither if you need 240 V or an unmeasured well pump.

Champion's retail title leans on 4,500 starting watts; the sheet's useful continuous number on gas is 3,250 W (2,925 W on propane). Honda prints 2,200 W max and 1,800 W rated — and the quiet figures (48 / 57 dBA) are load-specific, not a single silent badge. Parallel is optional on both: Champion wants a ParaLINK kit; Honda wants its cable. Standard EU2200i keeps a 20A duplex only; TT-30R is a Champion sheet line, not a Honda standard-model line. Sheets also list Champion propane runtime up to 25 h on a 20 lb bottle at 25% load — still a light-load number.
Fridge running watts on the Size guide: 150–400 W (start 600–1,200 W). Both machines clear a modern fridge on running watts if you leave headroom for lights and phones.
Flag — not in Size guide: furnace blower and modem watts are not listed on /guides/what-size. We do not invent those numbers here.
Champion buys dual-fuel headroom and a built-in TT-30R. Honda buys quieter neighbors and a smaller continuous budget. Neither is a 240 V house plant.
